  1. Hi. I’m at this momento Finnish Inh your book: “Introduction to traditional astrology: a complete working guide for modern astrologers” and it has been quite helpful. I would like to buy other books but will not ship to Mexico City via Amazon. Do you have a ebook version of them? Seems you do about at least some of them, am I correct?

    in your amazing book about the cycle of the year, page 74, why you based the SR date on 31-1-1921 rather than the actual birth date 30-1? and do you consider the native location when you create SR chart? or just you take the birth place?

  4. Answering your questions.

    – Solar returns are the return of the Sun to its exact natal position, and not to a calendar date. That commonly moves a day either way. You see the same thing happen with the seasonal ingresses – sometimes the 21st, sometimes the 20th, sometimes the 22nd.

    – I always use birth location in returns – that is the most traditional usage. I talk about that earlier in the book.

  7. In your book about the classical seven planets the chapter about the moon and other planets left out the description of the Moon/Mars configuration.Did I overlook something ????….

    or where can I find it in Vettius Valens anthology ???

  8. I checked, and there is no section on Moon and Mars in the Valens original. There are several planet pairs that he doesn’t include.

  10. I referenced the best traditional sources I am aware of in the Planets book. The surviving traditional texts are incomplete and not always well organized, so I don’t have a better recommendation to give you.

    I discovered you after rewatching the Essential Dignity episode you did with Chris Brennan, but this time actually caught wind of your website…which turned out to be the highlight of my week.

    As a young, budding astrologer, I have had quite some trouble seeing eye to eye with the popular social consensus out here in NYC. After a similiar “awakening” in 2020(in reference to your article ‘The Great Wake-up call’), it’s been quite a journey enduring the most transformational period of my entire life, less than 2 years removed from an arduous Saturn Return(Capricorn Stellium kid from 1989 with a Cap Sun and ASC as well).

    As I began taking my astrology more seriously, I started to take notice that literally NONE of the astrologers I’ve interacted with so far, have been capable of properly discerning through this blatant bullshit. This has been largely responsible for my hesitancy in proceeding with my practice, as I feel I’m one “reckless” statement away from getting cancelled. However, with Uranus currently opposing my Natal Pluto(11H), and Pluto transiting the latter degrees of my 1st house, Im beginning to feel as if success is inevitable…

    I’ve read through all of your articles, and thank you for being the astrologer with whom I resonate with the most.

  22. Hi my name is Lisa and I’m wondering if you are the same Charlie Obert that was associated with Minneapolis Community College back in 1988 and if you did hypnotherapy? I saw a Charlie Obert at his home in Minneapolis who did hypnotherapy on me to deal with past sexual abuse and it completely healed me. I’m just curious if you’re the same one and I also know of a couple people that would like this kind of hypnotherapy so I’m wondering if you don’t do it anymore if you know how I could find somebody who does?     No, I longer do hypnotherapy, and I am not involved in the community, so I’m afraid I can’t help you with that.

  28. I was wondering what your thoughts are about people born few days prior to a total solar eclipse. I’m one of them! Is one’s life permanently blighted?

    No, not at all. Many successful people have been born, not just near but during an eclipse.

    For that matter, my second wedding was the day of an eclipse, and my wife and I were together for 24 years until her death.
